Admissions

The Margaret E. Moul Home offers long-term care for adults (age 18 and older) with a neuromuscular impairment and cognition levels sufficient to benefit from specialized services while providing them with a variety of social, recreational and therapeutic opportunities.

Admissions

  • An applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
  • An applicant must have a primary diagnosis of cerebral palsy or other neuromuscular impairments (spina bifida, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, and other rare neuromuscular impairments).
  • An applicant must require the level of care provided by a skilled nursing facility.
  • The Margaret E. Moul Home must have services appropriate for the applicant’s medical and wellness needs.
  • An applicant must have an affirmative determination of Nursing Home Service Eligibility by the designated evaluating agency.
  • An applicant must be eligible for Medicaid from Day 1 of admission.
  • An applicant must agree to refrain smoking on the Home’s premises or on Home-related activities.
  • The Home does not accept applicants who need to use ventilators. Specific medical concerns will be addressed during the application process.
  • The Home maintains full occupancy.
  • The Admissions Committee reviews all applications and meets with potential residents to determine eligibility.
  • The individual is placed on the waiting list once it’s determined that the applicant is an appropriate fit.
  • Admissions to the Home are accepted from the waiting list based on the individual’s needs in conjunction with the appropriate room availability within the Home.
