We have two multi-sensory studios designed to stimulate, relax, and alleviate discomfort. Social wellness, therapeutic recreation, and vocational endeavors are all elements of our residents’ full lives.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy at Margaret E. Moul Home empowers resident to enhance independence and quality of life through personalized strength-building, coordination exercises, and adaptive techniques. By fostering functional skills and confidence, our occupational therapy program supports residents in achieving their highest level of independence.
Community-Integrated Therapeutic Recreation
Actively engages residents in their internal and external community to meet their leisure lifestyle needs.
Dietary Management
Enhances the experience of selecting and enjoying food so that it truly makes a difference in residents’ lives.
Social Services
Encourages growth and wellness by overseeing psychosocial needs which encompasses medical, social, spiritual, behavioral and emotional.
Speech Therapy
The Home’s team of a Speech Pathologist and Speech Aides addresses communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders resulting from neurological impairments.
The Speech Language Pathologist provides augmentative and alternative communication systems for residents with severe expressive/language comprehension issues. Augmentative communication devices (ACDs or talkers) allow residents who cannot verbally communicate to express his/her needs and wants. Each device is uniquely designed based on a resident’s physical ability.
VOCATIONAL ENDEAVORS
Vocational endeavors at the Home are vital for fostering a sense of purpose, independence, and self-worth among residents, empowering them to develop skills, contribute meaningfully, and enhance their quality of life.
Engaging in vocational activities also promotes social interaction and personal growth.
