Qualified Charitable Distributions
Give directly from your IRA.
If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution, or QCD, directly from your IRA to the Margaret E. Moul Foundation.
A QCD must generally be paid directly from the IRA trustee to an eligible charitable organization. When the requirements are met, the distribution may be excluded from taxable income and may also count toward all or part of your required minimum distribution.
Because QCD rules and annual limits can change, we recommend contacting your IRA custodian or tax adviser before making the distribution.

Gifts of Stock & Appreciated Assets
Turn appreciated assets into meaningful support.
Gifts of publicly traded stock and other appreciated assets can be a meaningful way to support the Margaret E. Moul Home.
Depending on the type of asset, how long you have owned it, and your individual tax situation, donating appreciated property may offer different tax treatment than selling the asset and giving the proceeds.
Please contact us before initiating a transfer so we can provide the correct receiving information and make sure your gift is properly identified and acknowledged.
Before You Transfer
Contact us first.
We can provide the current brokerage or transfer instructions needed for your gift.
Tell us what is coming.
Brokerage transfers often arrive without the donor’s name attached. Letting us know in advance helps us identify and acknowledge your gift promptly.
Keep your records.
Your adviser can help determine the appropriate valuation and documentation for your specific gift.
Beneficiary Designations

A beneficiary designation can be a simple way to create a meaningful future gift without changing your will or trust.
You may be able to name the Margaret E. Moul Foundation as a primary or contingent beneficiary of a retirement account, life insurance policy, bank account, investment account, or other financial asset that allows beneficiary designations.
You may designate all or a percentage of the account, depending on the options provided by your financial institution or plan administrator.
